It's not a question of whether you have a writer within, it's how can you set her free.

TUSCANY  June 13 – June 20, 2020

This special retreat will be a collaboration with Jo McGinley, a masterful workshop leader, performance coach, and writer.

Along with my usual array of powerful writing activities and prompts that focus on the craft of writing and connecting you with your creative flow, we will incorporate dynamic experiential exercises to enhance the creative process and take your stories to the next level. Jo is a master at sparking the imagination and will inspire you all the way to the page. Through becoming curious about story ideas, inspirations, and blocks, you’ll discover and embrace your own unique vision.

No matter where you are on your writing path, this is the perfect class if you’re looking for something a little bit different, just starting a project, have lost your way, or simply need a new perspective…take the leap and join us in Tuscany!

Attention returning attendees: This is a great opportunity for you as I’ve revised the curriculum and have added new excursions. As always, you can look forward to the same fabulous food. If you’ve attended my Tuscany retreat in the past, please contact me to receive a discount on this retreat.

We will enjoy a luxurious week in the heart of Tuscany at the lovely Villa Castellare de Sernigi. The Corti family who has owned it since the early 1950’s has lovingly restored this centuries-old villa. Each of its nine bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom and every modern convenience.

Our private chef will delight us with regional specialties using locally sourced produce and wine, and can accommodate most dietary needs.

In stillness, we listen for the whisper of inspiration that lies beneath the whirl of our daily lives and chatter of our critical minds.

Saturday, June 13 - June 20, 2020

The retreat runs from Saturday evening (June 13th) to Saturday morning (June 20th)

Transportation to and from Florence is included.

As we surrender our doubts and fears we create space for our creative spirit to rise and guide us.

Mornings will be spent in a group writing session led by Kathryn and Jo.
Following lunch (al fresco if the weather permits), we will enjoy informal as well as guided tours of nearby towns, historic sights, and the surrounding countryside or enjoy personal writing/relaxation time.
Additional writing sessions will be scheduled several afternoons during the week.
Most evenings (if we are not out enjoying local entertainment and wine) we will gather informally to share our work and reflect on the day.
A private consultation with Kathryn is included and will be scheduled around activities.
