New Possibilities

Although I’ve enjoyed writing throughout my life, the writing retreat in Tuscany opened up new possibilities for me. Kathryn Kay is an extraordinarily gifted workshop leader, I don’t know how she does it. She helped me discover an entirely new direction and narrative that was incredibly exciting. The women she gathers together in these retreats are supportive, inquisitive, and best of all—they are willing to listen. Another high point—our very own Tuscan chef! Delish.

This section of my website will showcase pieces of an overall story. At the retreat, I learned a style of writing that tells a long story through a collection of short stories connected through characters and time periods. I will be posting new pieces of writing once a month.

  1. Kathryn~ What a delight to see what you create for this creative escape into Italy and one’s own time to write, work, relax and enjoy the company of others. I can see in every photo that it’s working!

“After reading Kathryn Kay’s lovely debut, I had the best kind of cry. What a beautiful, emotional novel. I loved the way she writes about love, necessary secrets, and the dark unknowability of another person, no matter how close. She writes so well about the vulnerability of strong women, the complexity of long friendship, the ways mothers and daughters protect each other, and sweet, tender forgiveness.”
